Everyone should take at least one trip to Time Square if
they truly want to see something unbelievable. This is simply one of the most
amazing places on earth. There's no wonder why so many movies are filmed in the
heart of Time Square.
First Stop, 42nd Street
Time Square is one of those "larger than life"
places that you have to see in person to truly appreciate. The heart of 42nd
street and 8th avenue is like a brilliant theme park without all the annoying
rides and lines to ride them. There are some of the greatest restaurants in the
world located right on 42nd street like B.B. King's famous B-B-Q joint.
Anyone who thinks they've ever seen anything even close
to the grand spectacle that is Time Square should think again. There are a
couple of 3 story movie theaters on opposite sides of the street. There's the
Madam Tussaud's wax museum, which is worth the trip to time square all by
itself. Right next to Madam Tussaud's is the world famous Ripley's believe it
or not. This museum actually sends out live street performers to do incredible
feats for passersby. There's a guy who comes out a few times a day and drives a
nail into the middle of his head. Yes everything in Time Square is larger than
life even the 4 story McDonalds which is also on 42nd street – and while it may
not be the vacation cuisine you had in mind, it is most certainly worth a look.
As if 42nd street wasn't enough of a grand spectacle,
just up the street there's a Toy's R Us with a huge, indoor Ferris wheel. Less
than one block away from there is the world famous M&M store that very kid
loves to visit. Speaking of things kids will love. You could walk through time
square and meet Mickey Mouse or Sponge Bob Square pants. They'll even pose for
pictures with the children. For the ladies, there’s the infamous naked cowboy
who’ll wow them with his chiseled physique and raunchy singing.
All of the excitement is sure to tire the average tourist
out so there's a huge set of bleacher's right where 8th avenue runs into
Broadway. Speaking of Broadway, Time Square is also home to the most amazing
live shows in the world. Rebecca, Oklahoma, Rock of Ages and now, even
Spider-Man has his own live show, the collective lineup providing more than ample
inspiration for both young and old.
If you’re fortunate enough to be in Times Square on
December 31, you’re in for the absolute greatest event in the history of the
known universe. The New Year’s Eve ball drop in Time Square brings in an
amazing 1 million people to view the clock roll over into a new calendar.
Regardless of when a person goes to the world famous Time Square, he or she is
in for a real treat. There is nothing on earth like Time Square and anyone that
chooses to take a vacation there will surely remember the amazing experience
for the rest of his or her life – it’s certainly a vacation inspiration worth
having, at any time of the year.
